L'invention concerne une composition détergente comprenant, dans un milieu aqueux cosmétiquement acceptable, au moins un tensioactif anionique et au moins un tensioactif amphotère choisi parmi les alkyl(C8-C24)amidoalkyl(C3-C8)-bétaïnes, les sulfobétaïnes, les alkyl(C8- C24)amidoalkyl(C6-C8)sulfobétaïnes, les alkyl(C8-C24)-amphomonoacétates, les alkyl(C8-C24)amphodiacétates, les alkyl(C8- C24)amphomonopropionates, les alkyl(C8-C24)amphodipropionates et les phosphobétaïnes, en un rapport pondéral tensioactif(s) anionique(s)/tensioactif(s) amphotère(s) est inférieur ou égal à 1 ; au moins un polymère cationique présentant une densité de charge strictement supérieure à 5 méq/g ; et au moins 1 % en poids, par rapport au poids total de la composition, d'au moins un sel hydrosoluble minéral ou organique, l'anion de ce dernier comportant de 1 à 7 atomes de carbone, la quantité totale de tensioactifs dans la composition étant inférieure à 18 % en poids par rapport au poids total de la composition. Cette composition est notamment utilisée pour le lavage et le conditionnement des matières kératiniques, par exemple les cheveux.
