Method and Apparatus for Cooling an Electric Motor Abstract An electric motor having structure for conveying heat generated during motor operation away from the motor interior. Blowers mounted to the motor housing force air along a gap between a motor stator and rotor. The stator also defines a radially extending passageway which allows the air to pass through the stator and out the motor housing.
