A PROCESS FOR PRODUCING CEMENT. ABSTRACT. A process for producing cement, comprising: grinding and pulverizing raw material; storing said pulverized raw material in one or more horizontal hopper-type silos; homogenizing said pulverized raw material by thoroughly mixing it and forming a wet mass of homogenized raw material; forming briquettes from said homogenized mass of raw material; storing said briquettes in one or more horizontal hopper-type silos; preheating and precalcining said briquettes in one or more tunnel-type kilns; calcining said precalcined briquettes in a rotary kiln to produce clinker briquettes; storing said clinker briquettes in one or more hopper type silos; and pulverizing said clinker briquettes together with an amount of gypsum to produce a pulverized cement.
