The invention relates to a continuous process for producing synthetic crude oil from oil bearing material, e.g., oil shale or tar sand, through continuous loading, calcining and unloading operations in three triangularly placed reactor tubes that are loaded with oil bearing material from a common feed source.

Cette invention concerne la production pétrole brut de synthèse selon un procédé continu de traitement de matériaux pétrolifères, schiste ou sable bitumineux par exemple. Trois réacteurs tubulaires de calcination placés en triangle sont alimentés en continu en matériau pétrolifère provenant d'une même source. Le déchargement des réacteurs se fait également en continu.
