In a device known as central vacuum cleaning system, commonly a filter kown as self cleaning filter bag separates dust and debris from the air flow. This invention consists of solenoid slides that close the opening between the vacuum chamber section of what is known as "Power Unit" and the motor assembly above it, and at the same time open this vacuum chamber to the atmosphere when the motor is turned off. This sudden atmospheric pressure above the filter versus still existing vacuum below the filter pushes the filter bag rapidly down, shaking the dust and fine debris off the filter bag into a dirt receptacle below the filter.
