Summary The present invention concerns a process for the produc- tion of lignolytical enzymes by means of Phanerochaete chrysosporium wherein a) a culture of the pocket rot fungus Phanerochaete chrysosporium is placed into a closed vessel (1) which has no stirring means, b) pellets of Phanerochaete chrysosporium are produced there by rotating and slewing said vessel (1), and c) enzyme is then harvested.
