The invention concerns a process for making an aqueous solution of unsaturated quaternary ammonium salts having the formula (I) as follows: Image (I) by the reaction, under pressure and in the presence of water, of methacrylate of N,N-dimethylaminoethyl with CH3-Cl. The process is characterized by the fact that the reaction occurs in the presence of pentasodium salt of diethylene triamino- pentacetic acid. It yields a thermally stable compound.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une solution aqueuse du sel d'ammonium quaternaire insaturé, répondant à la formule (I) suivante: Image (I) par réaction, sous pression et en présence d'eau, du méthacrylate de N,N-diméthylaminoéthyle avec CH3-Cl. Le procédé selon l'invention est caractérisé par le fait que l'on conduit la réaction en présence de sel pentasodique de l'acide diéthylène triamine pentaacétique. Il permet d'obtenir un produit thermiquement stable.
