The present invention relates to a laser image projection apparatus for projecting image information on a large screen. In particular, the laser image projection apparatus making it easy to embody image on a large screen by expanding horizontal scanning angle using two relay lenses with a different focal distance is disclosed. The image display apparatus has light source using a laser, an acoustic-optic modulator for modulating the light source according to image signal, a scanner for scanning the modulated light beam and a screen for displaying image from the scanned light beam and expands the horizontal scanning angle according to a ratio of different focal distances of two relay lens, thereby producing a large image on the large screen.
