ABSTRACT The instant invention provides the porcine GRF receptor protein. The invention also provides DNA compounds encoding the pGRF receptor, recombinant DNA cloning and expression vectors comprising said DNA sequence, and recombinant host cells comprising said vectors. The invention also provides methods of making the pGRF receptor in recombinant and solid phase systems. The invention also provides methods of using the pGRF receptor in assay systems. The invention also provides methods of using said DNA sequences as probes to isolate and characterize GRF receptors and corresponding DNA sequences from other species.
