A seat assembly which includes a holder which is attachable to a support structure such as the frame of a bicycle, the holder defining a cavity and having peripheral fastening formations projecting into the cavity; and a cushion which comprises an elastic, inflatable body having a first external surface for contact with a portion of the body of a user, a second external surface locatable in the cavity, and peripheral fastening means locatable in a zone between the first and second surfaces, the peripheral fastening means being adapted to engage with the zone and with the fastening formations of the holder. A method of manufacturing the cushion is also disclosed. The seat assembly may be suitable for use as a bicycle or motorcycle saddle.
