This invention is an improved biopsy needle having an outer cannula (12), an inner tube (14) and a stylet (20). The distal end of the inner tube (14) is provided with a snare (16) in the form of a coil extending from the inner tube. The free end of the coil is adhered to the inner surface of the outer cannula.
