A rolling mill suitable for rolling seed, for example grains for animal feed and oil seeds, has two pivotally-connected frame components carrying the respective rolls of the mill. A spring-loaded clamp holds the two frame components closed. The rolls themselves have smooth outer surfaces and are fed by a pressure feed mechanism that pressurizes the seed fed into the nip between the rollers.
