This invention relates to a process of producing polyurethanes and/or polyureas which are optionally cellular. This process comprises reacting a) polyisocyanates with b) reaction products of amines with oils and/or fats which are preferably natural and which are non-functional in relation to isocyanates. The reaction product b) may also be the reaction product of amines and water with oils and/or fats. It is also within the scope of this invention to mix reaction products b) optionally with c) fatty acids having more than 8 carbon atoms, and/or d) compounds having molecular weights of 62 to 10,000 and containing at least two hydrogen atoms which are reactive with isocyanate groups, and/or e) additives known to be suitable in polyurethane chemistry.
