ABSTRACT The invention relates to an apparatus for packaging crackers, biscuits and the like, which comprises devices for picking up, while counting, one by one, a given number of products; checking the products as to their conformity to a prescribed weight, and moving them to a packaging station. The devices for conveying the products are capable of automatically adapting themselves to different lengths of stacks of biscuits. The invention also concerns a method utilizing the apparatus.
