The present invention relates to a protein capable of regulating the endothelian cell proliferation as well as various uses thereof. The protein according to the invention has a molecular weight of approximately 50-60 kDa, preferably about 55 kDa, and has an amino acid sequence, which is substantially similar to that of a plasminogen fragment comprised of Lys 78- Arg 530 of a plasminogen molecule.

Cette invention concerne une protéine capable de réguler la prolifération des cellules endothéliales, ainsi que diverses utilisations de cette protéine. Cette protéine possède un poids moléculaire d'environ 50 à 60 kDa et, de préférence, d'environ 55 kDa. Cette protéine comprend une séquence d'acide aminé qui est globalement similaire à celle du fragment de plasminogène Lys 78-Arg 530 d'une molécule de plasminogène.
