The invention relates to a refractory material which consists substantially of a binding agent or a binding agent mixture, a filler or a filler mixture and a hardener. According to the invention either a cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL), a substance containing CNSL or a mixture of substances containing CNSL is used as a binding agent separately or in combination with a liquid phenol resin or a resin based on phenol homologues or formaldehyde homologues.

L'invention concerne un matériau réfractaire constitué essentiellement d'un liant ou d'un mélange de liants, d'une charge ou d'un mélange de charges et d'un durcisseur. Selon l'invention, il est prévu d'utiliser en tant que liant, de l'huile de cajou, une substance renfermant de l'huile de cajou ou un mélange de substances renfermant de l'huile de cajou, soit seuls soit en combinaison avec une résine phénolique liquide ou une résine à base d'homologues phénoliques ou d'homologues de formaldéhyde.
