The invention relates to a method of detecting telomerase activity involving the following steps: (a) a test specimen is prepared; (b) a first primer suitable as a telomerase substrate and nucleoside triphosphates are added and the reaction mixture is incubated under conditions conducive to primer extension by the telomerase; (c) amplification of the extension product produced by the telomerase; (d) the amplification product obtained in step (c) is immobilised on a solid phase; and (e) the immobilised amplification product is detected or quantitatively measured. The invention also relates to a reagent kit for carrying out the claimed process.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour détecter l'activité d'une télomérase selon lequel (a) on prépare un échantillon à tester (b) on ajoute une première amorce adaptée comme substrat de télomérase et des triphosphates nucléosidiques et on met ce mélange à incuber dans des conditions permettant la production d'une extension d'amorce par la télomérase, (c) on réalise une amplification du produit d'extension produit par la télomérase, (d) on immobilise sur une phase solide le produit d'amplification produit à l'étape (c) et (e) on détermine qualitativement et/ou quantitativement le produit d'amplification immobilisé.L'invention concerne également un jeu de réactifs pour mettre en oeuvre le procédé selon l'invention.
