The tester unit is provided comprising a body having at least one insertion port. One port type houses the flex bushing, designed so a device, like a light bulb, plug fuse, or blade fuse, may be inserted, make necessary contact for the purposes of this invention, and withdrawn in a swift and reliable manner. There can be several such ports with port dimensions designed specifically for variable device types. Another port type houses a contact base apparatus designed so that a device may be inserted naturally into a port, and the integrity of the device be identified without any further manipulation of the tester, or the device being tested. There can also be several such ports designed specifically for variable device types. The contact base apparatus may act separately or be fixed to the unit as a whole. The tester is provided with an indicator which can be visual, auditory, or sensational, depending on specification.
