A method and system for processing imagery to enhance the structure of an image so that non-stochastic features are more noticeable to a viewer is disclosed. Generally, the method and system of the present invention are directed to processing first image data including a non-stochastic feature signal and a stochastic effects signal to alter the spatial frequency of the stochastic effects signal to produce enhanced first image data, and displaying an enhanced first image corresponding to the enhanced first image data.
