A microbead comprising pheromone encapsulated in a coacervate shell is provided. The coacervate shell is entrained in a hydrogel microbead without chemical crosslinking. The microbeads of the present invention are capable of dehydration and rehydration to release of pheromone to the intended environment.

L'invention concerne une microbille renfermant de la phéromone encapsulée dans une enveloppe de coacervat. Cette enveloppe de coacervat est entraînée dans une microbille d'hydrogel sans réticulation chimique. Les microbilles de la présente invention peuvent être déshydratées et réhydratées de manière à libérer la phéromone dans l'environnement ciblé.
