Compositions comprising Eimeria proteins or variants/fragments of such proteins can be used to produce a coccidiosis vaccine. The proteins are present in the hydrophilic phase of a Triton X-114 extract of Eimeria sporozoites and have molecular masses of 26-30 kDa ~ 5 kDA when determined by SDS PAGE under reducing conditions.
