The present invention relates to methods and compositions for carrier fluids comprising water-absorbent fibers. One embodiment of the present invention provides a method of treating a portion of a subterranean formation, comprising providing a slurry wherein the slurry comprises a servicing fluid, particulates, and a degradable, water-absorbent material wherein the degradable, water-absorbent material acts to help keep the particulates from settling out of the slurry; and, introducing the slurry into the portion of the subterranean formation. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a slurry suitable for use in subterranean operations comprising a servicing fluid, particulates, and a degradable, water-absorbent material wherein the degradable, water-absorbent material acts to help keep the particulates from settling out of the slurry.
La présente invention concerne des compositions de fluides porteurs comprenant des fibres hydroabsorbantes et des méthodes connexes. Un aspect de la présente invention porte sur la méthode utilisée pour traiter une partie de formation souterraine, laquelle méthode suppose la fourniture de boue de forage, celle-ci comprenant un fluide d'entretien, des particules et un matériau hydroabsorbant dégradable, ledit matériau hydroabsorbant dégradable empêchant les particules de se déposer hors de la boue; et l'introduction de la boue dans la partie de la formation souterraine. Un autre aspect de la présente invention porte sur une boue de forage pouvant être utilisée pour des opérations souterraines et comportant un fluide d'entretien, des particules et un matériau hydroabsorbant dégradable, ledit matériau hydroabsorbant dégradable empêchant les particules de se déposer hors de la boue.
