The present invention provides a catheter (2), an introducer system (412), and a methodology for creating a bypass on demand between an unobstructed blood vessel (500) such as the aorta, and an obstructed blood vessel such as an obstructed coronary artery in vivo using a shaped memory alloy cuff (300) and a graft segment (400) in tandem as a shunt. The invention allows the placement and creation of single or multiple bypass grafts without use of a heart/lung machine, and without need for stopping the heart of the patient during the coronary artery bypass surgery.
Cette invention porte sur un cathéter (2), un dispositif d'insertion (412) et une méthode permettant de créer un pontage à la demande entre un vaisseau sanguin dégagé (500), l'aorte par exemple, et un vaisseau obstrué, une artère coronaire obstruée par exemple, et ce, in vivo, en utilisant un manchon en alliage à mémoire de forme (300) et un segment de greffe (400) en tandem en tant que pontage artérioveineux. Cette invention autorise la mise en place et la création de greffes de pontage simple ou multiple sans recourir à un coeur-poumon artificiel et sans qu'il ne soit nécessaire de faire cesser de battre le coeur du patient durant l'intervention de pontage aorto-coronarien par greffe.
