The invention concerns a fuel cell. The installation comprises cells consisting each of two anode sections (4>1<, and 4>2<), a connection between the first anode section output (9>1<) and the second anode section input (8>2<), a connection between the second anode section output (9>2<) and the first anode section input (8>1<), a circuit (10) supplying hydrogen to the anode circuits of the cells through two parallel connections (11>1< and 11>2<) controlled by two opening-closing members (12>1< and 12>2<), means for periodically controlling the inversion of states of the two members. The invention is applicable to air-hydrogen cells.

Application aux piles air-hydrogène.
