A method of fabricating plastic products with an integrated Lenticular lens material that thermally protects the ink layer and outer lens surfaces of the Lenticular insert. A Lenticular lens material is provided with a Lenticular lens layer with an outer surface of optical ridges (22) and an ink layer (28) bonded to a transparent lens layer (24). A thermal protective substrate (30) comprising opaque flexographic ink is applied to the ink layer. The application of the thermal protective substrate is completed using a coating unit of a lithographic press. A Lenticular insert is formed from the coated Lenticular lens material and the insert is positioned within a mold cavity. The thermal protective substrate insulates the ink layer. Concurrently, the portion of the mold adjacent the insert is cooled to a temperature below the deformation temperature of the optical ridges.
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de fabrication de produits en plastique pourvus d'un verre lenticulaire intégré permettant de protéger de la chaleur la couche d'encre et les surfaces externes du verre de l'insert lenticulaire. Un verre lenticulaire est pourvu sur une couche, d'une surface externe constituée de pointes optiques (22) et une couche d'encre (28) liée à une couche de verre transparente (24). Un substrat (30) de protection thermique comportant une encre flexographique opaque est appliqué sur la couche d'encre. L'application de ce substrat de protection thermique est effectuée au moyen d'une unité de couchage d'une presse lithographique. Un insert lenticulaire est formé à partir du verre lenticulaire revêtu, ledit insert étant disposé dans la cavité du moule. Le substrat de protection thermique isole la couche d'encre. Dans le même temps, la partie du moule qui se trouve à proximité de l'insert est refroidie pour atteindre une température inférieure à la température de déformation des pointes optiques.
