The mechanically actuated brake (10) comprises a laterally movable sleeve housing (22) which is attached by means of slots (24) and connections (26) with the support plate (28). A mechanical actuator and adjuster mechanism (40) has parts (42, 48) received within a longitudinal through opening (27) of the housing (22), a first part (42) of the mechanism (40) abutting one brake shoe end (20) while a second part (48) of the mechanism (40) abuts the other brake shoe end (18). A lever (50) for service brake operation is attached pivotably by a connection pin (30) with the housing (22) and extends through a transverse through opening (29) of the housing (22). The lever (50) is received within a slot (49) of the second part (48) of the mechanism (40), and includes an actuating arm (57) which extends through the housing (22) and is engageable with an actuating arm (66) of a pawl (60) that actuates the adjuster portion of the mechanism (40). The pin connection (30) also mounts rotatably the pawl (60) to the housing (22). The pawl (60) includes a spring support flap (67) which receives one end of aspring (70) attached to the one brake shoe end (20).

Frein actionné mécaniquement (10) comportant un manchon (22) qui se déplace latéralement et qui est fixé au moyen de fentes (24) et de raccords (26) sur la plaque de support (28). Un mécanisme d'actionnement et de réglage (40) comporte des parties (42, 48) quise logent dans une ouverture (27) traversante du manchon (22), une première partie (42) du mécanisme (40) aboutissant à une extrémité (20) de la mâchoire du frein, tandis que la seconde partie (48) du mécanisme (40) aboutit à l'autre extrémité (18) de la mâchoire du frein. Un levier (50) d'actionnement du frein est monté pivotant au moyen d'une goupille de raccordement (30) sur le manchon (22) et s'étend à travers une ouverture traversante et transversale (29) du manchon (22). Le levier (50) s'engage dans une fente (49) de la seconde partie (48) du mécanisme (40), et comprend un bras d'actionnement (57) qui s'étend à travers le manchon (22) et s'applique sur une bras d'actionnement (66) d'un cliquet (60) qui actionne la partie de réglage du mécanisme (40). La goupille de raccordement (30) permet aussi de monter de manière rotative le cliquet (60) sur le manchon (22). Le cliquet (60) comprend une patte (67) de support (60) de support de ressort qui reçoit une extrémité d'un ressort (70) fixé à l'extrémité (20) de la mâchoire du frein.
