The present invention relates to a composition suitable for administration to a subject, the composition comprising pharmacologically acceptable particulate material dispersed throughout a pharmacologically acceptable liquid carrier, the particu-late material being maintained in the dispersed state by a steric stabiliser, wherein the steric stabiliser is a polymeric material com-prising a steric stabilising polymeric segment and an anchoring polymeric segment, one or both of which are derived from one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers that have been polymerised by a living polymerisation technique, wherein the steric sta-bilising polymeric segment is different from the anchoring polymeric segment, and wherein the anchoring polymeric segment has an affinity toward the surface of the particulate material and secures the stabiliser to the particulate material.
La présente invention concerne une composition appropriée à une administration à un patient. Cette composition comprend une matière particulaire acceptable pharmacologiquement dispersée dans un excipient liquide accetpable pharmacologiquement. Selon l'invention, la matière particulaire est maintenue dans un état de dispersion par un agent stabilisant stérique, l'agent stabilisant stérique est une matière polymère contenant un segment polymère stabilisant stérique et un segment polymère d'ancrage, un segment ou les deux segments proviennent d'un monomère ou de plusieurs monomères insaturés sur le plan éthylénique qui ont été polymérisés par une technique de polymérisation vivante. Le segment polymère stabilisant stérique est différent du segment polymère d'ancrage, et le segment polymère d'ancrage présente un affinité vis-à-vis de la surface de la matière particulaire et fixe l'agent stabilisant à la matière particulaire
