A system and method for translating special dialing strings and/or mobile feature codes in a wireless telecommunication network (200). Upon receipt of a special dialing string ("SDS") or mobile feature code ("MFC"), a mobile switching center passes the SDS or MFC to a centralized processing center (320). The centralized processing center includes a home location register (HLR) containing an SDS lookup table and/or an MFC lookup table. The SDS lookup table includes information pertaining to the dialed string, a subscriber group number, the mobile switching center group number, and a number to be dialed (translated number). The MFC lookup tables include information pertaining to the dialed string, the subscriber group number and feature action to be invoked. Using the SDS lookup table in the HLR, an SDS can be translated into a number to be dialed (350). Using the MFC lookup table, an MFC can be processed to change the mobile subscriber's profile (345).
La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant la transposition des séquences de numérotation spéciales et/ou des codes de fonctions de mobiles dans un réseau de télécommunications radio (200). A la réception d'une séquence de numérotation spéciale ou "SDS" (Special Dialling String), ou d'un code de fonctions de mobile ou "MFC" (Mobile Feature Code), un centre de commutation du service de téléphonie mobile communique le SDS ou le MFC à un poste de traitement centralisé (320). Ce poste de traitement centralisé comporte un enregistreur de position de rattachement ou "HLR" (Home Location Register) pourvu d'un tableau de consultation des SDS et/ou d'un tableau de consultation des MFC. Le tableau de consultation des SDS contient des informations se rapportant à la séquence de numérotation composée, un groupe de numéros d'abonnés, le numéro de groupe du centre de commutation du service de téléphonie mobile, et un numéro à composer (numéro transposé). Les tableaux de consultation des MFC contiennent des informations se rapportant à la séquence de numérotation composée, le numéro de groupe de l'abonné, et une fonction à demander. Le tableau de consultation des SDS dans le HLR permet de transposer en numéro à composer (350) un SDS, le tableau de consultation des MFC permettant de modifier le profil (345) d'abonné mobile par traitement du MFC.
