Title N-2-(6-HYDROXYBENZOTHIAZOLYL)- N'-PHENYL (OR SUBSTITUTED PHENYL) UREAS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention provides N-2-(6-hydroxybenzo- thiazolyl)-N'-phenyl ureas of the formula Image wherein R is H, halo, (C1-C3)alkyl or (C1-C3) alkoxy. They are prepared by reacting 2-amino-6-hydroxybenzothiazole with a phenylchloroformate to form a 2-phenylcarbamate, reacting the thus-formed carbamate with an excess of trimethylsilyl- chloride to synthesize a 6-trimethylsilyloxy-2-benzothia- zolylisocyanate, and then treating said isocyanate with an aniline of the formula Image wherein R is hydrogen, or a halo, (C1-C3)alkyl or (C1-C3)alkoxy group. The compounds are active as immune regulants and are potentially useful with organ transplant operations.
