A vessel filter having a first region having a first set of struts (15) forming a mounting portion and a filter portion having a converging region (32) at a first portion to direct particles toward the center of the filter. The mounting portion is flared in the expanded position to have a transverse dimension increasing toward second portion opposite the first portion. A second set of struts (17) forms a second mounting portion flared in the expanded position. A plurality of spaced apart struts (40) extend between the first and second regions. The second set of struts may form a second filter portion.

L'invention concerne un filtre de vaisseau sanguin présentant une première zone présentant un premier ensemble de contrefiches formant une partie de montage et une partie de filtre présentant une zone de convergence située au niveau de la première partie pour diriger des particules vers le centre du filtre. La partie de montage est évasée en position déployée pour présenter une dimension transversale croissante vers la seconde partie opposée à la première partie. Un second ensemble de contrefiches forme une second partie de montage évasée en position déployée. Une pluralité de contrefiches séparées s'étendent entre la première zone et la seconde zone. Le second ensemble de contrefiches peut former une seconde partie de filtre.
