The invention relates to (single-channel and multichannel) coherent demodulation devices. According to the invention, coherent demodulation is effected with no knowledge of the signal transmitted (i.e., with no controller). The phase change is estimated by producing through application of a predetermined function a signed value from the argument of a sum signal, the said sum signal itself being obtained based on the signal received (by quadrature demodulation, complex despreading and summing on N samples). Estimation of the phase change is used in a phase servo loop, such that the system tends toward nil error. Means are provided to eliminate phase residual static ambiguity introduced by the application of the predetermined function. The invention also proposes using a plurality of such (single-channel and multichannel) coherent demodulation devices in a reception set with several paths of variety.
L'invention concerne des dispositifs (monocanal et multicanaux) de démodulation cohérente. Selon l'invention, la démodulation cohérente est effectuée sans aucune connaissance du signal transmis (c'est-à-dire sans pilote). L'estimation du déphasage est obtenue en produisant grâce à l'application d'une fonction prédéterminée, une valeur signée à partir de l'argument d'un signal sommé, ce signal sommé étant lui même obtenu à partir du signal reçu (par démodulation en quadrature, désétalement complexe et sommation sur N échantillons). L'estimation du déphasage est utilisée dans une boucle d'asservissement de la phase, de façon que le système converge vers une erreur nulle. Des moyens sont prévus afin de lever l'ambiguïté statique résiduelle de phase introduite par l'application de la fonction prédéterminée. L'invention propose également l'utilisation d'une pluralité de tels dispositifs (monocanal et multicanaux) de démodulation cohérente dans un ensemble de réception à plusieurs chemins de diversité.
