It's common to get news and other information from television, internet, word- of-mouth, newsprint, radio and other form of media but these information are usually filtered down to sound bites, and its content usually reflects their audience preconceived notions. The need to access numerous unfiltered point-of-views with minimal restrictions such as location boundaries, cost, predetermine audience, and ideological filters has lead us to develop a system and method where individual can freely broadcast and view point-of-views, lectures, conduct transactions, and chat by using their existing PC, SBC, STB and Video Conferencing Box in an IP network. The method requires machines, at one point, to connect to a server for information. The information contains verified or assigned channel, list of current and future programs with its corresponding channels, and IP channel mapping table. Participant need only to select the channel to view or select a video source to start broadcasting.
