The present invention relates to the field of biotechnological means to diagnose or treat T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. More particularly, the invention relates to methods to diagnose T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia via determining the presence of a duplication of the MYB gene in cells taken from patients. The invention further relates to inhibitors capable of neutralizing the biological activity of MYB alone, or in combination with inhibitors capable of neutralizing the biological activity of NOTCH1, which can be used to treat T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia.

La présente invention concerne le domaine des moyens biotechnologiques pour diagnostiquer ou traiter une leucémie aiguë lymphoblastique par prolifération des lymphocytes T. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne des procédés pour diagnostiquer une leucémie aiguë lymphoblastique par prolifération des lymphocytes T en déterminant la présence d'une duplication du gène MYB dans des cellules prélevées à des patients. L'invention concerne en outre des inhibiteurs qui peuvent neutraliser seuls l'activité biologique de MYB, ou en combinaison avec des inhibiteurs qui peuvent neutraliser l'activité biologique de NOTCH1, qui peuvent être utilisés pour traiter une leucémie aiguë lymphoblastique par prolifération des lymphocytes T.
