A method of assembling an electrical heater support housing comprises the steps of forming an elongated member having a linear series of spaced apart and interconnected leaves where leaves have aligned outer peripheral end portions and aligned inner periphery end portions narrower in width than said outer peripheral end portions, and each of the leaves has opposing tapering side walls tapering from a respective outer peripheral end portion thereof to a respective inner peripheral end portion thereof. The leaves each have notches and tab members. The preferred method comprises stretching two electrical heating coils beside each other and then mounting insulators onto the coils. Next, the elongated member is moved downwardly so that the notches of the leaves pass over the insulators. Next, the tab members are bent about the insulators to mount the insulators and heating coil elements to the elongated member. The elongated member is then folded to bring adjacent leaves into engagement with each other.
