The general object of the present invention is to provide a method for determining and displaying the relative changes of elastic moduli and that of density of geologic formations and for utilizing these relative changes and plottings for gas/oil exploration, especially for direct gas and light oil detection. The said relative changes of elastic moduli are the relative change of Lame constant .DELTA..lambda./(.lambda.+2µ), the relative change of shear modulus .DELTA.µ/(.lambda.+2µ) and/or .DELTA.µ/[k+(4/3µ], the relative change of bulk modulus .DELTA.k/[k+(4/3)µ]; and the relative change of density is .DELTA.p/p.
Méthode permettant de déterminer et d'afficher les changements relatifs des modules élastiques et de la densité des formations géologiques et d'utiliser ces changements relatifs et ces levés pour l'exploration du gaz ou du pétrole, particulièrement pour la détection directe du gaz et du pétrole léger. Les changements relatifs de modules élastiques comprennent : les changements relatifs du coefficient de Lamé .delta..lambda./(.lambda.+2µ); le changement relatif du module de rigidité.delta.µ/(.lambda.+2µ) et/ou .delta.µ/[k+(4/3)µl; et le changement relatif du module de compression .delta.k/[k+(4/3)µl; le changement relatif de densité étant .delta.p/p.
