A floor squeak eliminator includes a plate assembly affixable to the underside of the floor and including a downwardly projecting threaded member. The squeak eliminator also includes a joist strap having a first end configured to engage the bottom side of a floor joist and a second end configured to engage a portion of the threaded member. A nut or similar item engages the threads and draws the floor plate and joist strap together bringing the floor into contact with the subjacent joist.

Cette invention concerne un dispositif destiné à empêcher les planchers de grincer. Il comprend une plaque à fixer à la face inférieure du plancher et comportant une tige filetée se prolongeant vers le bas. L'objet de l'invention comprend également un étrier à solive dont une première extrémité est façonnée pour entourer la tranche inférieure de la solive et dont l'autre extrémité se monte sur la tige filetée ci-dessus. Un écrou ou élément analogue se visse sur la tige filetée pour rapprocher la plaque susmentionnée et l'étrier de solive et coller ainsi le plancher à la solive ainsi équipée.
