An apparatus for the application of steam onto a paper web has a steam blower box 48 with numerous zone chambers arranged side by side over the web width. The steam blower box 48 is dis- placeable so that the spacing between it and the web path is adjustable. A steam supply line 4 extends from each zone chamber in the longitudinal direction through the interior of the steam blower box, and from there outward to a support plate 28. There the clearance between adjacent steam lines is substantially greater than in the interior of the steam blower box. A steam control valve 35, that is connected via a flexible line 29 to the support plate 28, is provided for each zone chamber laterally outside the paper-making machine.
L'invention concerne un dispositif pour appliquer de la vapeur à une bande de papier, comportant un réservoir de vapeur (48) pourvu de nombreuses chambres zonales se succédant sur la largeur de la bande. Ce réservoir (48) est mobile, ce qui permet de régler la distance le séparant de la trajectoire de la bande. A partir de chaque chambre zonale, une conduite d'amenée de vapeur (4) s'étend dans le sens longitudinal pour traverser l'intérieur du réservoir de vapeur et de là passer à l'extérieur pour aboutir à une plaque de support (28). A cet endroit-là, l'écartement entre les conduites de vapeur adjacentes est sensiblement plus grand qu'à l'intérieur du réservoir de vapeur. Pour chaque chambre zonale, il est prévu une vanne de régulation de vapeur (35) située latéralement à l'extérieur de la machine à papier et reliée à la plaque de support (28) par une conduite flexible (29).
