The present invention provides a method for producing metallic iron, which is operable at low temperature. The present invention relates to a method for producing a metallic iron, which comprises heating and reducing a raw material mixture containing a carbonaceous reducing agent and an iron oxide-containing material to produce the metallic iron, wherein the carbonaceous reducing agent has a volatile content of 20 to 60 mass %, a gas derived from the carbonaceous reducing agent is a CO-CO2-H2 gas, and the method comprises forming solid Fe3C by heating the raw material mixture in an atmosphere containing the CO-CO2-H2 gas, melting the Fe3C, and carburizing a reduced iron through the molten Fe3C.
La présente invention concerne un procédé pour la production de fer métallique, qui peut être effectué à basse température et qui est un procédé pour produire du fer métallique par le chauffage et la réduction d'un mélange de départ comportant un agent réducteur carboné et une substance contenant de l'oxyde de fer afin de produire du fer métallique, l'agent réducteur carboné ayant une teneur en substances volatiles comprise entre 20 et 60% en poids et le gaz dérivé de l'agent réducteur carboné est du gaz CO-CO2-H2.
