ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus is disclosed for supporting an umbrella in relation to a golf cart. The apparatus includes a clamp for removably securing the apparatus to a handle of the golf cart. A pivot assembly is mounted on the clamp, and allows selective adjustment of an angular orientation of the umbrella with respect to the golf cart. A lock is fitted to the pivot assembly for locking the pivot assembly in a desired position. Finally, a selectively extensible support arm is attached at one end to the pivot assembly, and includes an umbrella mount at the free end thereof, for removably securing a shaft of the umbrella to the support arm when in an in-use condition.
