A stiffener device for use with electrical connectors is disclosed. More particularly, the stiffener device includes a rigid L-shaped member having a groove in which an electrical connector is slidingly received and locking clips which are attached to the connector and frictionally received in a channel in the L-shaped member to prevent relative movement between the member and connector.
