A lock system for a tool box is disclosed wherein locking is achieved with a lock which is located in a recessed portion along the front wall of the tool box in order to prevent tampering. A latch rod is slidably disposed adjacent a front wall of the box. The lock and the latch rod are disposed such that the lock body blocks the longitudinal movement of a lock engager and maintains the latch rod in the latched position when the lid of the tool box is in the closed position and the lock is locked. When the lock is unlocked, the lock engager is allowed to move past the lock to move the latch rod to the unlatched position thereby allowing the lid of the tool box to be opened. The lock system may be used for a horizontal or a vertical tool box.
L'invention concerne un système de verrouillage pour une boîte à outils, le verrouillage étant réalisé avec un verrou qui est situé dans une partie en retrait le long de la paroi avant de la boîte à outils afin d'empêcher toute violation. Une tige de verrouillage est disposée de manière coulissante adjacente à une paroi avant de la boîte. Le verrou et la tige de verrouillage sont disposés de sorte que le corps du verrou bloque le mouvement longitudinal d'un dispositif de mise en prise du verrou et maintient la tige de verrouillage dans la position verrouillée quand le couvercle de la boîte à outils est dans la position fermée et quand le verrou est verrouillé. Quand le verrou est déverrouillé, le dispositif de mise en prise du verrou est autorisé à se déplacer au-delà du verrou pour déplacer la tige de verrouillage sur la position déverrouillée pour permettre de ce fait l'ouverture du couvercle de la boîte à outils. Le système de verrouillage peut être utilisé pour une boîte à outils horizontale ou une boîte à outils verticale.
