The invention relates to compounds of formula (I), wherein either R1 is hydrogen and R2 is lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or lower alkynyl, m is 3 or 4 and n is 2 or 3; or R1 and R2 together are tetramethylene, m is 3 or 4 and n is 2; or salts thereof. The compounds of formula (I) influence polyamine biosynthesis and have antiproliferative activity as well as an action against protozoans.
