Compositions for the topical treatment of sagging subcutaneous muscle and overlying cutaneous tissue containing catecholamines and/or acetylcholine precursors in a dermatologically acceptable carrier. Catecholamines include adrenaline, norepinepherine, dopamine and their precursors; catecholamine precursors such as tyrosine and phenylalanine are preferred. Acetylcholine precursors include dimethylaminoethanol, monoaminoethanol, choline, serine, and mixtures thereof. Preferred embodiments further contain at least one other ingredient that enhances skin penetration. In these and other embodiments, particularly those employing tyrosine and/or phenylalanine as a catecholamine precursor, other cofactors such as vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid or calcium pantothenate are included in the composition to enhance the action of the active ingredients. Other compounds that scavenge free radicals and antioxidants may also be added; a fatty acid ester of ascorbic acid is included in some formulations.
L'invention se rapporte à des compositions destinées au traitement local du fléchissement des muscles sous-cutanés et du tissu cutané qui les recouvre, et contenant des catécholamines et/ou des précurseurs d'acétylcholine dans un excipient dermatologiquement acceptable. Les catécholamines comprennent l'adrénaline, la norépinephérine, la dopamine et leurs précurseurs; les précurseurs de catécholamine tels que la tyrosine et la phénylalanine sont préférés. Les précurseurs d'acétylcholine comprennent diméthylaminoéthanol, monoaminoéthanol, choline, sérine et des mélanges de ceux-ci. Selon des modes de réalisation préférés, ces compositions comprennent également au moins un autre ingrédient qui favorise leur pénétration dans la peau. Selon ces modes de réalisation préférés et d'autres modes de réalisation, notamment ceux mettant en oeuvre la tyrosine et/ou la phénylalanine comme précurseur de catécholamine, d'autres cofacteurs tels que la vitamine B¿6? et l'acide panthoténique ou le pantothénate de calcium sont inclus dans la composition afin d'accroître l'action des ingrédients actifs. D'autres composés qui piègent les radicaux libres et les antioxydants peuvent également être ajoutés; un ester d'acide gras d'acide ascorbique est inclus dans certaines formulations.
