A method and system for secondary traffic charging in a radio telecommunications network (61) is disclosed. The system includes a mobile switching center (MSC) (63) for delivering a call in the radio telecommunications network and a radio network controller (RNC) (67) for controlling the radio telecommunications network. The MSC includes a charging unit (73) for calculating a primary traffic charge, a secondary traffic charge, and a total charge for a call. Additionally, the RNC (67) employs frame structure counters (69) to assess the amount of secondary traffic carried in the call. The method begins by the frame structure counters (69) assessing an amount of secondary traffic carried in a call in the radio telecommunications network. The charging unit (73) then calculates a charge for the secondary traffic carried by the call.
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système de taxation du trafic secondaire dans un réseau de radiotélécommunications (61). Le système comporte un centre de commutation mobile (MSC) (63) permettant de remettre un appel au réseau de radiotélécommunications et un dispositif de commande de réseau radio (RNC) permettant de commander le réseau de radiotélécommunications. Le MSC comprend une unité de taxation (73) permettant de calculer la taxe d'un trafic primaire, la taxe d'un trafic secondaire et la taxe totale d'un appel. En outre, le RNC (67) a recours à des compteurs de structure de trame (69) pour évaluer la part du trafic secondaire acheminé par l'appel. Selon le procédé, les compteurs de structure de trame (69) évaluent la part du trafic secondaire dans un appel effectué dans le réseau de radiotélécommunications. Ensuite, l'unité de taxation (73) calcule la taxe du trafic secondaire acheminé par l'appel.
