The invention relates to an image processing system for omnidirectionally reading optical patterns, e.g. one-dimensional and two-dimensional codes. The aim of the invention is to create an image processing system that ensures a high resolution and fast processing so as to allow especially real-time video processing while providing secure recognition of the image data, particularly reliable and low-error edge detection, segmentation, and object allocation. Said aim is achieved by using several convolvers that operate in parallel and/or in a time division multiplex method in order to fold the digital image data, a neighborhood processor (90) for reading out and linking contour points (22), and/or a statistics processor for reading out a segment list.
L'invention concerne un système de traitement image pour la lecture omnidirectionnelle de modèles optiques, par exemple, de codes monodimensionnels et bidimensionnels. L'invention a pour but de créer un système de traitement image garantissant une haute résolution et un traitement rapide, de manière à permettre, en particulier, un traitement vidéo en temps réel, tout en ayant une reconnaissance sûre des données image, notamment une détection des bords sûre et peu entachée d'erreur, une segmentation et une attribution d'objet. Ce but est atteint, conformément à l'invention, grâce à l'utilisation de plusieurs convolutionneurs qui fonctionnent en parallèle et/ou suivant un processus multiplex par partage du temps, en vue de la convolution des données image numériques, ainsi qu'à l'utilisation d'un processeur de proximité (90) pour la lecture et la liaison des points de contour (32) et/ou d'un processeur statistique pour la lecture d'une liste de segment.
