An applicating machine (10) for applying a flexible carrier to a plurality of containers provided from an infeed includes a jaw drum (40) moveable between an operating position and a storage position away from the operating position. In the operating position the jaw drum is positioned with respect to the infeed to accept the plurality of containers and apply the flexible carrier to the plurality of containers. A second jaw drum (50) may be moveable into the operating position to enable packaging of containers having different dimensions and/or packages having different configurations.
L'invention concerne un appareil applicateur servant à appliquer un support souple sur une pluralité de contenants en provenance d'un système d'avance, ledit appareil applicateur comprenant un cylindre à mâchoires mobile entre une position active et une position escamotée à l'écart de la position active. Dans la position active, le cylindre à mâchoires est positionné par rapport au système d'avance de manière à recevoir la pluralité de contenants et à appliquer le support souple sur la pluralité de contenants. Un deuxième cylindre à mâchoires peut être placé dans la position active pour permettre le conditionnement de contenants de dimensions différentes et/ou plusieurs configurations de conditionnement.
