The present invention relates to a method of and an apparatus for treating the green liquor formed in a sulphate pulp mill, especially to a method of en- hancing the clarification of the green fil- ter. According to the invention, at least a portion of the green liquor stream of the mill is directed into a clarifier. Clar- ified green liquor is discharged from the clarifier while dregs-containing green liquor is discharged from the bottom of the clarifier. The dregs-containing green liquor is directed into a filter, in which it is filtered for forming a filtrate and a dregs. Dregs separated from the green liquor can be washed already in this step, thus lightening the load on the actual dregs filter. Filtrate, i.e. filtered green liquor, is directed for further treatment along with clari- fied green liquor. The connection ac- cording to the invention enables a por- tion of the stream of green liquor to be directed past the clarifier directly to the filter along with dregs-containing green liquor.
Procédé et appareil de traitement de la liqueur verte se formant au cours de la fabrication de la pâte au sulfate et, en particulier, procédé d'amélioration de la clarification du filtrat vert. Une partie au moins du courant de liqueur verte résultant de la production est dirigée vers un décanteur. La liqueur verte clarifiée est déversée du décanteur tandis que la liqueur verte contenant les lies est soutirée du fond du décanteur. Cette liqueur verte contenant les lies est acheminée jusqu'à un filtre, dans lequel elle est filtrée pour obtenir le filtrat et les lies. Les lies ainsi séparées de la liqueur verte peuvent, d'ores et déjà, à ce stade, être lavées, atténuant ainsi la charge s'exerçant sur le filtre des lies. Le filtrat, c'est-à-dire la liqueur verte filtrée, est dirigé vers un autre traitement, avec la liqueur verte clarifiée. Le circuit prévu par cette invention permet d'acheminer une partie du courant de liqueur verte directement au filtrage, en évitant la décantation, avec la liqueur verte contenant les lies.
