The present invention provides a process for the preparation of an aqueous composition comprising polysilicate coated mineral particles, wherein the process comprises subjecting an aqueous composition comprising gelled polysilicate and a mineral to shear of at least 5'000 rpm for at least 30 seconds. The present invention also provides polysilicate coated mineral particles obtainable by this process as well as paper filled with these particles.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'une composition aqueuse comprenant des particules minérales enrobées de polysilicate, le procédé comprenant l'opération consistant à soumettre une composition aqueuse comprenant du polysilicate gélifié et un minéral à un cisaillement d'au moins 5 000 rpm pendant au moins 30 secondes. La présente invention porte également sur des particules minérales enrobées de polysilicate, pouvant être obtenues par ce procédé tout comme du papier chargé par ces particules.
