An adaptable rotating rectifier and suppression resistor assembly is designed to fit and mate with state-of-the-art, two-pole generators with maximum flexibility to accept a variety of known possible diode configurations and a relatively large suppression resistor in a cost effective manner. A tubular housing of the assembly has an axially extending internal cavity with a plurality of bus bars arranged in fixed, spaced relation in a radially outer portion of the internal cavity so as to extend axially along the internal cavity. A plurality of diodes of any one of at least three significantly different configuration diodes and a suppression resistor are arranged in line along the axis of the internal cavity with radially outwardly extending spring contact plates electrically connecting the diodes and suppression resistor with the bus bars. A desired preload force is provided on these components between an end cap at one end of the housing and a retainer at the other. The end cap is rotationally indexed and constrained with respect to the housing by connections of terminals in the end cap with bus bars.
L'invention concerne un redresseur rotatif adaptable et un ensemble résistance d'antiparasitage, conçus pour s'adapter aux générateurs bipolaires les plus modernes avec le maximum de flexibilité afin d'accepter plusieurs configurations de diodes et une résistance d'antiparasitage relativement grande, de façon rentable. Un logement tubulaire prévu pour ledit ensemble a une cavité interne s'étendant axialement, qui est munie d'une pluralité de barres bus qui sont situées sur une partie extérieure radiale de ladite cavité interne en étant espacées les unes par rapport aux autres et fixes, de sorte à s'étendre axialement le long de ladite cavité interne. Une pluralité de diodes dont la configuration est choisie parmi au moins trois configurations de diodes suffisamment différentes l'une de l'autre et une résistance d'antiparasitage sont alignées sur l'axe de ladite cavité interne avec des plaques de contact à ressorts s'étendant radialement vers l'extérieur, qui connectent électriquement les diodes et la résistance d'antiparasitage aux barres bus. Une force de précharge est exercée sur ces composants entre un embout situé à une extrémité du logement et un élément de retenue situé à l'autre extrémité. L'embout a des repères rotatifs et est retenu relativement au logement par des connections de bornes qui sont placées dans l'embout et munies de barres bus.
