Methods for the separation of sulfur compounds from a liquid hydrocarbon mixture using a hydrophilic, non-ionic membrane are provided. The membrane can also be composed of water-soluble material. Preferred membranes include polyvinylpyrrolidone and cellulose triacetate membranes. The liquid hydrocarbon mixture may be light cracked naphtha.

L'invention concerne des procédés permettant de séparer des composés dans un mélange d'hydrocarbures liquides au moyen d'une membrane hydrophile non ionique. Cette membrane peut être composée d'un matériau hydrosoluble. Des membranes préférées comprennent du polyvinylpyrrolidone et des membranes de triacétate de cellulose. Ce mélange d'hydrocarbures liquides peut être du naphta léger craqué.
